I have a new home that had laminated hardwood floors put in on the concrete slab about six years ago. They show some wear and I thought they could be refinished so I called in floor refinishers for estimates. They all told me that the top laminate was too thin to refinish. The previous owner left behind a piece of the floor so I could show it to them; it has five layers and it looks like the top one was thin to start with. Has anyone else run into this problem?
